L I V E A L I F E Y O U L O V E !
I feel fortunate to have grown up in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Columbia Gorge. I was blessed with kind and loving parents and two brothers. I spent much of my childhood playing sports, or spending time outdoors with my brothers and friends. Although this might sound ideal for many of us, it still came with a great deal of challenges. As a child/teen, I often felt sad, confused, empty, and alone. As a young adult, I spent many years trying to figure out who I was. I mostly defined myself through jobs, relationships, and material possessions, Although I seemed confident on the outside, there was a great deal of suffering on the inside. Ultimately I realized that nothing seemed to bring me lasting happiness.
Eventually I came to realize that no mater what our life looks like, as humans we all experience internal suffering. Ultimately we all want the same thing, LOVE. Knowing this helped me open my mind and my heart to a new way of be-ing. Over the years, I worked with a life coach, Sufi teachers, kundalini teacher, shamanic healer, energy healers, yoga teachers, health coach, and even a business coach. Teachers have come in and out of my life at the perfect time to help me move through layers upon layers that were blocking me from seeing my true nature.
There isn’t one experience in my life that I am not grateful for. Every heart ache, every struggle, all of the suffering I have experienced has been worth it. Everything in my life has been a great lesson that has lead me to where I am today. Not only have I found a deeper truth within myself, but it has also brought me to a place where I can use my experience, wisdom, and understanding to teach and inspire others through yoga, meditation, workshops, trainings, and public speaking. I am beyond grateful for this amazing lifelong journey and I am excited to see where it will take me from here.
I am so lucky to have an amazing husband and two beautiful step daughters. Don’t let that sweet family photo fool you. A life with 2 teenage girls comes with ups and downs, but it’s worth it. The beautiful gift of family is such a blessing and I am constantly amazed by what life has in store for me.
My Yoga Practice
My yoga practice began in 2005. I started teaching Hatha yoga in 2013 and Kundalini yoga in 2017. Over the years, as my practice deepened, I have found that the spiritual teachings of yoga are my calling. After spending time in India, I realized that asana was such a small part of what yoga really is. I love bringing essential and core teachings of yoga into my private sessions, community classes and trainings, going beyond exercise to inspire others to awaken and experience a deeper love, a lasting joy, and overall sense of peace. My intention is to create a loving space that’s warm and welcoming for all who feel inspired to join me.
My intention for my business has always been to let things unfold naturally and from the heart. Being open to endless possibilities is EXCITING! Though not your typical way of doing business, being open is the only way to experience freedom and a true love for life. I have no idea what the future of my business holds. As long as I listen and trust with my whole heart, it will all work out!
Vision: To inspire an awakening in as many people as I can, as often as I can.
Mission: Through yoga, trainings, book writing and public speaking I will shine my light, inspiring others to experience a deeper love, a lasting joy, and overall sense of peace.
Motto: “Teach as though you are washing people’s feet, like Jesus, with so much love in your presence that people feel it. And to feel the energy of your own personal divine power.” – Mary Bast
I hope to share, inspire, teach and learn from all those who cross my path. I have so much LOVE for life. I am overwhelmed with gratitude to share what I love with all of you!
